Reviews and Ratings
I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a room with a big bed and spacious bathroom at no extra cost. The evening meal was exceptional, especially the perfectly cooked steak, and the dessert was a must-try. However, the room was a bit cold initially, requiring a heater to warm up, and some amenities needed restocking.
The hotel is set in a gorgeous house with a lovely view, but it appeared tired and fairly spartan lacking basic amenities like bedside table/lamp, comfortable chair, waste bin, and hair dryer. However, the service was exceptional, with owners and staff going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The dining experience was average, possibly due to continuous travel, yet the seafood was fantastic. Overall, a charming small hotel with friendly staff in a beautiful location.
My stay at the hotel was lovely. The rooms were great with homemade rhubarb and ginger jam to die for, clean, well decorated, and had all we needed for a short stop over, although a bit on the small side. The service was exceptional, very friendly, and accommodating, going above-and-beyond to make our stay comfortable. The location was convenient for town and countryside outings, although the dining area intruding caused a lack of ambiance. The dining was amazing, offering large portions very well cooked, and the facilities were satisfactory.
